Terms of use

1. What SDZ Planner is

SDZ Planner is a planning aid. It draws shapes from data in AR 385-63 / MCO 3570.1D and similar sources. It does not produce an approved surface danger zone, and nothing it displays or exports is an approval, certification or authorization to fire.

2. Your responsibility

Every surface danger zone must be reviewed and approved by your range control, range safety office or other competent authority before a range is used. You must check the output against the current publication, your local SOPs and the actual conditions. Some entries are marked VERIFY because values were read from drawings or are not tabulated; check those against the source.

3. No warranty; limit of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, the provider is not liable for any injury, loss, damage or cost arising from use of, or reliance on, the service or its output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before the claim.

4. Subscription

Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; access continues to the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires.

5. Accounts

One account per person. Do not share your sign-in link or resell access.

6. Data sources

The publications used are U.S. Government works. SDZ Planner is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps or the Department of Defense. Map imagery is provided by third parties under their own terms.
